A story that spans the Atlantic.

The name Saanen is actually a reference to a breed of goats from the Saanen region of Switzerland. Previously, our family owned and managed a relatively large farm of Saanen goats, the goat breed that produces the most milk. At its peak, the farm had 400 goats that were automatically milked and from which milk, cream cheese and yogurt were sold. The reason why raising goats was one of the family businesses, in the first place, has to do with our Portuguese origins, among others the famous Serra da Estrela cheese-producing region in Portugal, in the district of Coimbra. We are proud of our origins and that also explains why the Saanen name was kept.

Extensive industrial and commercial knowledge.

Fabio Borges, founder and director of Saanen Representações, is the son of Valter Borges, a Portuguese immigrant in Brazil. Throughout their lives, Valter and Fabio have always been active in sales and business representations. By chance after moving to Brazil, Valter came into contact with the cosmetics sector, something that in the 70s culminated in the most famous cosmetics store in Uberlândia at the time. As it is a family business, contact with cosmetics led Fabio to enter the sector. He was an award-winning salesman for one of the biggest cosmetics brands in Brazil and later owned several cosmetic industries that produced a wide range of products, including shampoos, conditioners, tinctures, nail polishes, among others.

Commerce is in our blood.

The family trajectory led to the creation of the company Saanen Representações. Through the aforementioned businesses, Saanen Representações has extensive experience in business with international partners, as well as in imports and exports. And now, for our Brazilian and international customers interested in doing business with and in Brazil, Saanen Representações is the ideal partner to take your business and your sales to the next level!
